SOCIALDATING · CAMBRIDGEA gentle structure, never a rigid format
Everything is designed to make the first hello easier, while giving you the freedom to talk naturally and make private choices.
From arrival to the next day
No bells, compulsory rotations or public announcements.
Check in from 7pm and choose your free glass of wine, bottled beer or soft drink.
Add your REAL first name, a creative nickname and your two chosen colour subjects to your sticker.
Move freely around our private Sage space, use the conversation cards and let a good chat continue.
During the first two hours, write the names of anyone you would like to see again and tick YES.
Return it whenever you are ready during the first two hours, and no later than 9pm.
The next day, numbers are shared by WhatsApp only where both people ticked YES for each other.
A simple reason to say hello
Your sticker shows your REAL first name, a nickname for the night and two coloured subjects you would most like to discuss.
The real name and nickname combination helps the right person be identified on a YES form. Your nickname can be genuine or invented for the night, giving people an opening question and showing a little of your personality.
Your colours are conversation starters, never rules about who you may speak to.
What are you into?
Private choices. Mutual matches.
Everyone receives a private form with their real first name, nickname and mobile number, plus space for the people they would like to see again.
Write a person's real first name and nickname, tick YES and hand the form to the Host whenever you are ready—no later than 9pm. Social Dating compares the forms the following day.

The sweet spot
A good conversation does not end because a bell rings.
Choices are never announced. Numbers are shared only after a mutual YES.
Everything apart from respectful behaviour is optional.
Gentle introductions mean nobody is forgotten.
Hear someone’s voice, notice their humour and see how you feel together.
A one-sided YES never releases somebody’s mobile number.
Feeling nervous?
Many guests will arrive alone. The whole evening is designed to take the heat out of walking into a room of strangers.
